Brake symptoms to take seriously

• Grinding or metal-on-metal noise
• Vehicle pulling while braking
• Brake pedal vibration or pulsing
• Soft, sinking or unusually hard pedal
• Brake warning light
• Longer stopping distance

Pads are only part of the system

Brake concerns can involve pads, discs, drums, fluid, calipers, hoses, wheel-speed sensors or other components. Inspection is needed before parts and price can be confirmed.

Can brake work be done mobile?

Many pad and disc jobs may be suitable for on-site work where the vehicle can be secured on level, stable ground with adequate space. Some faults or vehicles require workshop equipment.

If the brakes feel unsafe

Do not continue driving. Park safely if possible and arrange appropriate assistance. A mobile assessment does not replace the need for towing where the vehicle is unsafe to move.
