How mobile mechanics work

Before the visit

You describe the vehicle, location and symptoms. For servicing, the mechanic confirms the correct schedule and likely parts. For a fault, the first booking may be diagnostic rather than a promised repair.

Preparing the vehicle

• Park on firm, level and lawful private property where possible
• Leave working space around the vehicle
• Provide access to keys and wheel-lock key
• Keep children and pets away from the work area
• Advise of underground parking height or access restrictions

During the visit

The mechanic confirms the work, checks the vehicle and discusses any change in scope. Additional work should not be assumed without your approval.

When a workshop is better

Hoist work, internal engine or transmission repairs, some air-conditioning tasks, wheel alignments and complex fabrication may require specialist premises or machinery. An unsafe vehicle may need towing rather than an on-site repair.
